The Historic Inaugural Ball is a celebration and commemoration of two monumental events: the Inauguration of President Elect Barack Obama and the National Birthday Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the spectacular Historical Society of Washington. Tickets to the ball are "all-inclusive", meaning food and beverages are included in the price of the ticket. Complimentary food service includes elegant tray passed hors d'oeuvres and serving stations with open-bar stations. Additionally, guests will enjoy a full evening of amazing live entertainment, interactive attractions and multiple dance areas.
Entertainment: Guests will enjoy a full evening of live entertainment with performances by the Marshall Keys Jazz Group, the Soul Patrol R&B Band, and music by DJ Kevin Henderson of Joyful Noyze, and DJ David Jenkins of Joy of Jazz Productions. Poetry readings honoring President Obama and Dr. King will also be performed by D.C. Poet and Author Kwame Alexander, with Dr. Tonya Mathews, and Katy Ritchey.
